TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: August 6, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to the website of Riley Baker Interiors, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a residential interior design studio based in Charleston, South Carolina. By using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. This site is informational: it describes our design philosophy, services, and process, and lets you reach out through our inquiry form or newsletter. Browsing this site or submitting a form does not, by itself, create a client relationship or any obligation on our part — that only happens once we've agreed to work together under a separate signed service agreement.
2. Website Content & Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, our logo, our portfolio (once published), blog posts, photographs, and any downloadable design resources — is owned by Riley Baker Interiors, LLC or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and share this content for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or use it commercially without our written permission. If you download a gated design resource, it's for your own personal use only — not for resale or redistribution.
3. Content Accuracy, Advice & Third-Party Links
Our blog and design resources share general design inspiration and information — they're not personalized professional advice, and they're not a substitute for hiring us or another qualified professional. Interior design projects can involve structural, electrical, plumbing, or code considerations; always consult a licensed contractor or other appropriate professional for that work. We try to keep our content accurate and current but don't guarantee it, and we're not liable for actions taken based on it.
Our site may link to third-party sites, including our social media profiles, and may occasionally include affiliate links or paid product recommendations — meaning we may earn a small commission if you purchase through those links, at no extra cost to you. We don't control third-party sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
4. User Submissions
When you use our contact form, newsletter sign-up, or a gated design resource, the information you submit is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Submitting an inquiry doesn't guarantee a response or obligate us to take on a project. If you send us photos or files (for example, inspiration images with an inquiry), you confirm you have the right to share them, and you grant us permission to use them for the purpose you sent them — such as evaluating or discussing your project. If we enable blog comments or other public submissions, you agree not to post content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive, and we may moderate, decline to post, or remove any submission at our discretion, with no obligation to monitor content.
5. Digital Products & Online Consultations
If we offer digital products for purchase or paid online consultations, the following applies. Payments are processed by a third-party, PCI-compliant payment processor — we do not collect or store your full card details. Digital products are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only; you may not resell, redistribute, or share them. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, digital products are non-refundable once delivered or accessed, and paid consultations follow the cancellation/rescheduling policy provided when you book. An online consultation is a standalone paid service and does not, by itself, create a broader design engagement — that requires a separate signed service agreement.
6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
This website and its content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes any digital products or online consultations, which are provided based on the information you share with us and do not guarantee a specific outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Riley Baker Interiors, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, its content, or these services. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under South Carolina law.
7. Governing Law & Changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest version, and continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
